Welcome to part 2 of what I like to call, “Why do I even need to save money anyways”. I’m just going to pick up where I left off on the previous post, which was originally one very long post. These games are in no particular order of how much I want to get them.
I’m not really sure I can explain this game, but it looks amazing and I want to play it so much.Since I can’t really describe it here’s a video trailer for it. A little bit of a secret, I love Days of Wonder and Asmodee.
As with every Asmodee game that I’ve seen the artwork is amazing. This is a dice building game where you build your dice by snapping in pieces that look like lego blocks. The goal is to get victory points which you get by building your dice up throughout the game. I think it’s a little difficult to explain, at least for me. I think one of the things that really caught my eye was, as I said, the art. Luckily here is an older video that is a preview at an older convention.
Another secret is that I am a big fan of word games, and watching the demo on the BGG stream made me want to get it. I feel like this might be one of the more difficult games to find though, unless I can either find it on Amazon or see if my local game store can special order a copy – if they don’t stock some. It’s a very simple premise, you lay out letter cards and try to have the highest scoring word that include the letters on the table.
I’m going to include this video that the developer made, it’s a bit silly but a good explanation of the game.
I’m interested in this because hey it’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and not of Michael Bay variety. This was very much an alpha game, so I really don’t know much about the game.
My most accurate description of this game is Mario Kart meets Wacky Races the board game. It looks simple and fun and reminds me of the Hannah-Barbera cartoons I watched as a kid.
This isn’t a new game but the company I listed is the one bringing it to the US. The concept of the game is that each player is trying to get the most geisha to be the most popular restaurant in town. The artwork on the game looks amazing, and it is a two player game so two major factors for me. I’m not sure when I’ll be able to get my hands on it, or if I can. I found Japanese language copy on Amazon, but not the English version.
This game looks fun. Another two player game that is a match 3 style game. So when you match 3 colors the bubbles pops, but there is some amount of strategy because there is a way to block the opposing player. You score based on the number of bubbles that you pop. I think I’d have a good time playing this.
